ALL PLAYERS, COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS WITHIN THE PLAINFIELD HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY ASSOCIATION MUST COMPLETE THE SAFESPORT PROGRAM. PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE IT AS WELL. PLAYERS MUST COMPLETE AND TURN IN THEIR CERTIFICATE BY 9/25 OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SKATE. PLEASE CLICK ON THE SAFESPORT IMAGE BELOW TO ACCESS THE TRAINING.
Please register below for the season. Also, please read the Parent-Player Contract, then sign a copy and bring to the first practice. Your player will not be allowed to skate if this is not turned into the club.
Tryout and club update!!!!!
Please arrive one hour early to Monday's tryout as we are fitting players that need warmups and shells.
Look for the Plainfield hockey tent in the parking lot. That's where you will sign-in. You can meet the board and we will drawing winners for some team "merch."
This year there are few new things we will be requiring of ALL players. First, Safesport must be completed and a copy of the completion certificate submitted to a board member before the end of September. Second, we have partnered with a local Plainfield doctor to provide free baseline concussion exams. We will also have a certified trainer at every home game to administer concussion protocol and look after our players should an injury occur.
Lastly, a new updated player/parent contract will be issued this year. It is critical you read it with your son/daughter. We will not tolerate fighting, reckless behavior, or inappropriate conduct on or off the ice. We will expect the same from parents. We want our club's focus to be on player development and building the program in a positive and productive way. We are actively changing the expectations and culture of the Plainfield Hockey Club and the new player/parent contract reflects this.
FEES: Registration and tryouts are $150. Season fees are $3,660. Fees are divided into six monthly payments of $610 due by the first of each month. September's payment will be due the week after team rosters are announced. We are adopting the monthly payment schedule so if the season is canceled each family is not out the whole amount and waiting for a refund. Depending on how the season proceeds the board will look at the need for a prorated refund at the end.
We are setting up our online payment system now, but due to the unpredictability of the season we were forced to create a new payment structure. Details soon.
We are holding an outdoor "Welcome Back" event in September for all club families. More information will be distributed in the near future. We will be able to follow social distancing and mask guidelines at this event.
We were not able to conduct any fundraising over the summer so the board has approved a 50/50 raffle as our first event. Tickets are one for $1 or six for $5. THERE IS NO MINIMUM REQUIREMENT TO BUY OR SELL AND YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO PARTICIPATE. Please remember, ALL money raised will go towards the benefit of all club members. Anything you can do to help is appreciated and could be used to reduce each family's fees. For tickets please email email@example.com and we'll get them to you. The drawing will be held before the September 30 practice at 8:30 pm.
We are opening an online "pop-up" store Monday for our families to buy team merchandise. We'll let everyone know when it's open. We have also ordered PREDATOR face coverings and they should be here soon. Those will be for sale.

This year we are offering families an opportunity to reduce their fees by volunteering to play music at home games and/or videoing games. There will be a sign-up list posted once games are scheduled. We will give a $20 credit if you sign up to handle the music and a $20 credit if you sign up to video a game. The players really love the music and game video review for coaches and players is invaluable. The credits will be deducted from your last payment.

Plainfield High School Hockey Association is a high school club team that is made up of players from all four Plainfield High Schools.
Throughout all that we do, Plainfield Hockey stresses the values of teamwork, good sportsmanship, and self-discipline. The coaching staff and trainers are committed to continue the pursuit of excellence in the highest level of training.
Their knowledge and direction will continue to give each player the tools they need to reach their goals and beyond!
Herff Jones will be at our Welcome Back Picnic this Saturday, 9/19 taking orders. All returning players will be receiving their award letters and numerals from last season at the picnic. You will be able to order your jacket and give the the Herff Jones Rep your awards to be sewn onto your new jacket.
